Elim’s youth ministry is called Empower. We are empowered in Christ as his Word says in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Don’t you feel empowered just reading it! Imagine how thrilling you will feel when you exercise this through faith in practice.
The young adults and late teenagers all struggle during this phase. Young believers are more vulnerable to the seductions of the world, the times change rapidly, and everything is accepted just by saying “have an open mind”. This is evident in your current times all around us.
Here in Elim, we define ourselves based on God’s word and set ourselves apart from the deviousness of this world.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”.
One of the greatest gifts God has given us is Hope. Many youths feel they have lost it all, they feel weak, exposed, judged, lonely, exploited, cheated, and ignored. These feelings bring great disappointments and they end up condemning themselves for their ways.
We understand that sometimes you might be battling your own set of problems and struggling with questions that you might not be able to open up to anyone about; regarding relationships, late-nights, over-nights, all-nights, drugs, alcohol, poker, sex, and the unwanted gifts along with it. We would love to help you understand God’s will and purpose for yourself.
We tend to such broken souls, and we love them unconditionally with no judgment or bias just as Christ loves us. We lay the solid foundation of God’s Word in each one’s life so that they can reap what they have sowed in their lives later.
For the Psalmist says, “For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth” Psalm 71:5
Many of our young adults volunteer in various church activities displaying their talent and creativity.
Join us every Sunday afternoon following the end of our 2nd Sunday Service. The youth service involves praise and worship, stories and activities/games, and prayer. And if you are still wondering, YES! we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us!
