Our History: 25 Years of Celebrating ELIM life

In August 2015, Elim FG Church celebrated its 25^th year anniversary.

Briefly, Elim Full Gospel Ministries (EFGM) had its humble beginning in a small rented house in the year 1990 with five people in attendance. Despite several trials, EFG ministry began growing steadily through consistent preaching of God’s Word, prevailing prayer, and faith. We recognized early on that it was not ours to boast, for we are merely His servants, and it was His ministry we were doing and surely knew He will take care of what He began. As it says in Philippians 1:6 “I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you within you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ”- NIV

Upon introducing the prayer-cell-based model of discipleship, the Church continued to grow as a network of small group communities that met in homes during the week and gathered together on weekends. With the understanding of priesthood in all the believers, the members of each home prayer-cells were disciplined, equipped, and encouraged to reach out which was largely responsible for our Church growth.

Apart from, regular Sunday worship services our church has established various platforms for members to participate ranging across all demographics. For example, Sunday school, Partnership school for street children, youth ministry, Bible study, prayer-cell groups, Men prayer, women’s prayer, fasting prayers and currently aiming to establish more activities for the elderly. At EFG ministries believe, we are blessed, to be a blessing.

Rev. Timothy Sargunam, founder and senior pastor of EFGM, along with a host of elders and gifted administrators have been continuously establishing the Church in faith, holistic teaching of God’s word, discipleship, relentless prayer, and worship, equipping people to make an impact on the city, nation and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
